With the Rain Tracker wiper control system, a tiny sensor on the inside surface of the windshield
shines beams of invisible, infrared light through the windshield to look for raindrops.
A control module ties into the existing wiper system with a few wires.
The system constantly adjusts the speed of the wipers, from completely off, through intermittent,
slow, and high speeds.
Result: the system kicks the wipers up to high speed when that big 18-wheeler passes you, and back
down to intermittent when the rain lets up.
You never have to reach for the wiper switch.
The existing wiper control is not affected.
We all know the feeling, every time we shift into reverse-- "am I about to hit something?!".
You can fit an entire compact car, or at least a parking post, in the blind-spot of a
full-size SUV or van.
The BackTracker uses well understood sonar technology to detect objects behind your vehicle.
The beeper sounds when there is an object, and the beeps get closer together when you get closer
to the obstacle.
This lets you know when you are approaching another car when you are parallel parking.
Or, it lets you know there might be something behind you were not expecting.
